And the best dealer in Southwestern PA is ???
It's been a while since I purchased any kind of pistol, rifle, or shotgun so I'm looking for a recommendation for a dealer in the PIttsburgh and surrounding area. I used to deal with Bill Powell in Penn Hills a lot, but that was a long time ago and I don't know if he's still there. What I'm basically looking for is someone with a decent inventory or the ability to order and receive quickly and a half decent personality. If I need advice, I have lots and lots of experts right here on Glock Talk. I've noticed there are quite a few dealers that think they are doing me a favor by taking my money.

Speaking of GUNRUNNER, I stopped to talk to Jack about a week ago and he no longer has the hardware store but has reopened along side of his building and is selling any gun 25.00 over his cost. He also has info on an upcoming event at the Meadowlands Holiday Inn by the Friends of the NRA. His # is 724-745-8900. He'll be smokin' his cigar. Oh by the way there will be HOOTERS girls at the NRA bash.

A few others I have dealt with are Federal Firearms( Thoms Run Rd about 2 miles past Chartiers Valley high School).
Markl's (North Side) Good people.
and Firearms Unlimited---- Pretty good selection but a little pricey if I remember correctly).
Ace's is good(previously posted)
I have been meaning to get to Braverman's

Thanks! It's good to hear that Powell is still going strong. I've been to Ace and have not been that impressed with the prices. One time I went in there and it was a real effort for this one clown to answer my question. Needless to say, there was no sale to me that day. Thanks again!

I prefer Ike's. He is a great guy with great deals...IMO
He also sets up at the PGCA shows and is their newly elected treasurer...tells some good jokes too.

I would agree Gander Mtn is a good source for great deals in Washington, PA. The Ace's stre is great for checking out variety. They have a price associated with carrying such a large inventory. Gun prices are about $50 more than usual. Bravenman's left a poor impression on me when I saw the insulting way their counter people treated customers. It could be the neighborhood Braverman's is located. The Ace's and gander Mtn are in larger higher traffic areas. Sometimes, the lowest prices are also a reflection on a customer's tolerance for treatment and business interaction. I would rather shift my money towards polite, helpful, knowledgeable vendors with presentable shops.
