What's the best gun for Production?

hehe gasgas na yung title ano
This thread is not about whatever feels good inm your hands, reliable , balhblahblah that's a given

Anyways, paupdate nga mga fafa
A few new guys want to try ipsc , ano ba dapat bilin ngayon?
May breechface breakeage issues pa ba ang glock?
I love the CZ pero my firends guns have been breaking apart lately , mas bago baril nila kesa sakin, problema din QC
Kamusta tanfo? Para? xd?
I realize a high volume of shooting will break any gun , pero dami ko nakikita bago pa lang baril sira agad

Strange , but my cz has never experieced any parts failure except dun sa roll pin which lookd flimsy anyway
Ito yung bigay ng PB na direct ata dun sa cz rep, kasi iba rin ang mags niya may rubber basepad

Bad reloaded ammo with improper primer seating. Get reloads from reputable reloaders like Stronghand and you should be fine.

dalawa lang naman talaga ang pagpipilian for ispc prod division:

glock 17 and the CZ/CZ-clones (cz-75/85, tanfoglio combat, jericho 941) wala ng iba...

Glock 17
Pros: ultra reliable, 17/18+1 rds, cheap parts, idiot proof trigger, madami murang 2nd hand na practically brand new
Cons: hard to master DA trigger, breechface breakage and the ear where the guide rod rests in the slide breaks, high price

CZ/CZ Clones:
Pros: all metal construction, excellent DA/SA trigger and easy to master, practically no recoil, low price (tanfog)
Cons: reliability issues, jamming and feeding problems, springs and pins tend to break easier, high price (jericho and CZ)

In the US, at least, it seems that Glock dominates Production Class. I don't know about other countries.

It also dominates IDPA SSP, by the way.

IMO, excessive dry firing w/o a snap cap. Been there, done that...

Sir EC what causes the "ear" of the slide to break? Is this common to those who use the stock plastic guide rods as well?

What about the HS/XD? how good is it? they say it has somewhat of an SA feel trigger on a DA...must be a light pull then?

What about steyr? a guy from 1911forum won lots of competitions with it...i know it's in the one using the tool...but the tool also helps big time...

I still have a CZ75BD.

First major problem was the firing pin roll. I bought a new one and supported it with a drill bit. Afterwards, I have not encountered any major problems so far. Already had 4K-5K rounds after the firing pin roll replacement.

Others mentioned of slide stop problems but have not encountered it yet.

But I heard that the SPO1 s alloy frame and therefore is weaker than the usual 1911 that we know. Is this true?

Nope it is an all steel gun. Cz is planning an alloy version ( as per shot show rumors).

Yun nga probema sa glock , di mo maidryfire masira breechface
Cz may qc issues yata sa metal
SPo1 isnt avalable here anytime soon
So ang option nalang is to get 2 guns
Which is useless , lalaban ka abroad ma dnf ka sa isang stage kasi sira baril mo. Sayang lang pera

The new magazine for the XD has a capacity of 16 rounds. If you use the .40 cal magazine with slight tweaking on the mag opening will make it 17 rounds. I'm using this one for my HS and with Pearce mag extender it will make it 19 rounds per mag.
