DirectX Issue when trying to play SWAT 3
I go to start it and get this message:
DirectX DDERR_GENERIC
Anyone know what this is or how it can be fixed? I am running 32bit vista

I have looked around and people have had no problem with this on Vista.

I'm not big on games but that message I seem to remember used to have something to do with the copy protection on the game disk.I haven't used Vista. There is a very recent version of DirectX but I subspect Vista has it unless it was a bug fix for Vista.

Downloaded it and it still does not work. It gives me that message right before the opening video.

Maybe a different video driver would help.

Yeah it is on original disc. I reinstalled my video card drivers a few weeks ago. So far all my games work fine except this and on BF2 special forces it says cannot find shaders. I don't worry about it much since I am planning on buying a new video card.
