new chair blues.

don't you just love that first meeting in a new chair? practice practice practice, only to come to a part you have down to a "t", and draw a complete blank?

first meeting as junior deacon. first part, I was pitch perfect.

2nd part? the only thing that came out was "derp"

and I actually did rather well, versus everyone else.

those are the times you can only smile.

so, without going into too much detail, who here cares to share the worst botch they have ever done?

I have opened and closed lodge as a Warden with no problem but last month, my first month as master, I totally blanked out on closing. Opening and the business portion went fine but I forgot how to close. Fortunately the Grand Master was in attendance and closed by proclamation.

One of those jobs that you finally know after it is over.

Tom, by the end, every one of us had managed to flub our lines.

if we weren't so mortified, we would have probably all been on the floor by the end of the meeting.

our lodge treasurer is a 2 time wm. he has what I refer to as the "steel eyed stare of death". looked like he wanted to stab all of us.

our j.w. has issues with his new apron. since they are so crispy and new, they don't like to fall into place when you stand....

ever see history of the world part one?

yup.
