Need some help with Scottish Rite

Hello friends,

I'm interested in taking the degrees of the Scottish Rite, but I have a couple questions.

First, I'm moving to a different part of Ohio in June and with the way my work schedule will be I'll be very lucky to get a day off period let alone a whole week end. Is it possible to put a petition in this month and then take the degree work next month?

Second, I can't seem to find the jist of the Scottish Rite. I'm already a member of the York Rite, and could find the lessons spelled out before I took the degree work. If this is not suitable to discuss openly, please feel free to PM me.

Thank you all for the help!

You can certainly petition very close to the actual reunion dates.

To get the straight answers to all those questions, ask your state Grand Lodge for direction contact information for the Scottish Rite in your area.

Sottish Rite

I am not familar with the Scottish Rite in Ohio. I belong to the Scottish Rite in Fort Worth, Texas. We have a Renunion that goes for three Saturdays in March. On the last Saturday, you can do the short form (4th, 14th, 18th, and 32nd). We usually conduct a couple more of the one-day renunions during the year.
