Does anyone know how one goes about getting a job with them? IPDbrad, are they a unit of IMPD?

They are a seperate department under the Dept of Public Safety.

WORK SCHEDULE: M-F 8:00 am – 4:00 pm and 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
JOB CATEGORY: POLE (Protective Occupations and Law Enforcement)
DATE WRITTEN: June 3, 2005 STATUS: Full-time
DATE REVISED: January 6, 2006 FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt
To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable
individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
Incumbent serves as Animal Control Deputy for the City of Greenfield, responsible for
capturing and caring for stray animals and cleaning kennels.
DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Responds to animal complaints from general public.
Cleans and disinfects animal kennels, replacing food and water bowls, emptying litter
boxes and sweeping and mopping floors. Cleans euthanasia room as needed.
Performs intake procedure for new animals and inspects animals for potential health
problems and neglect.
Serves on 24-hour call for emergencies and may work weekends/evenings.
Performs related duties as assigned and reports directly to Animal Control Supervisor.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND DIFFICULTY OFWORK:
High School diploma or GED required. Ability to obtain required certifications,
including euthanasia certification.
Knowledge of applicable animal control ordinances and ability to safely and humanely
capture a variety of small animals and ensure their proper handling and care.
Basic knowledge of department and OSRA safety policies.
Possession of a valid driver’s license and demonstrated a safe driving record.
Applications may be picked up at Mayor’s Office. Deadline April 25, 2007 at 4:00 pm

Ah ok thanks guys.

She loves animals and is interested in law enforcement so I thought perhaps this would be a good field for her. Now she gets to wait until shes 21.
