Myrtle Beach, SC

Just wandering if there were any other members in the Myrtle Beach area. For possibly setting up some competitions, swap meets, shooting clinics even cookouts and to help promote firearms in general locally.

just my 1/2 cent after taxes and the wife and kids get theres all I have left.

If I want to go indoor at the Myrtle Beach Indoor Range, but usually in the back yard. I live far enough back and back up to part of the river in the Socastee area.

Pawley's Island is generally as close as I get to the Redneck Riviera although I've a hankering to go to MB state park.

I checked out Edisto Beach last week and was sorely disappointed. Like Folly Beach, it's narrow and there are stone breakwaters every 200 yards. However, I was on Edisto Beach "proper" and not the beach at the adjoining state park where satellite photos show no breakwaters.

Really doesn't qualify as redneck rivera anymore since they did away with the pavillion. The North Carolina beaches that are closer Sunset and Ocean Isle are cleaner, wider and generally nicer. Due to the overbuilding on the ocean front driving down the boulevard you would not even know the ocean was there.

I live very near Socastee too. In the M.B. Golf and yacht club. You can really shoot in your yard? That would be great. If you ever want some company let me know. I'm always down for some shooting and I know the safety rules.

Women can legally wear wicked weasels at Pawleys Island. A WW will get you a ticket at Myrtle Beach/Surfside/Garden City, etc.

I think he's probably talking about thong bikini bottoms. Last I heard Myrtle Beach PD not only tickets but transports most of the time. Remember bike weeks are coming up you haven't lived until you see a 300 pound woman in a thong on the back of a bike. As bad as a 75 year old man in a speedo
