Good news from B.R.: Gun Ban Proposal deferred in committee today!

From the NRA-ILA alert today:

"On Wednesday, May 30, State Representative Cedric Richmond (D-101) asked the House Administration of Criminal Justice Committee for a voluntary deferment on his bill. His legislation, House Bill 869, would establish far-reaching restrictions on semi-automatic firearms (dubbing them "assault weapons") and ammunition magazines. This means that the committee did not consider the bill, but that it could be set again for a hearing at a future point in time at the sponsor's request. The Legislature adjourns on Thursday, June 28."

So for now,
"Believe nothing just because a so-called wise person said it. Believe nothing just because a belief is generally held. Believe nothing just because it is said in ancient books. Believe nothing just because it is said to be of divine origin. Believe nothing just because someone else believes it. Believe only what you yourself test and judge to be true." -- Buddha
