Gunsmith (sights) in Central Indiana

I've got a Kimber that is going to be needing new sights. Anybody know of a good gunsmith in central Indiana (Muncie would be ideal) who can hook me up? Would love to find someone where I can arrange to have it done while I wait. If you know or have used someone who can help me, contact info would be appreciated. Thanx.

Indy 1500 Gun Show has a Glock booth where they usually have a couple Factory-Certified Glock Armorer's that will install sites - clean Glocks - replace worn parts etc. They may put sites on your weapon "While you wait" as you put it. The guys that work the booth have a web site on their stuff, check it out at myglockdoc.com

Forgot I asked this. The Kimber went away, replaced by a Akote TRP. And it doesn't need any work, it's great.

How do you like the TRP?

I've not had the pleasure of shooting one, but just from handling several of them over the last couple of years, they are significantly better-built than the "Loaded" models. If they shoot as well as their construction indicates, they're worth the extra $$$.

Absolutely LOVE it. I've only had a chance to get about 100 rds thru it so far. But they included Golden Sabres (185+ps and 230s), Hydra Shoks, and ball. Not the slightetest problem. And, as the saying goes, this gun is more accurate than I am (or at least than my old eyes are). I've had quite a few Springer loaded models. This TRP is far above any of them. In fact, based on my limited experience so far, I'm betting this will end up being the nicest 1911 I've ever had. At least until I get the money for the Springfield Pro model someday!

I have a TRP also, and it is by far the most accurate stock 1911 I've shot. I used it in a 2 day pistol class last year, and was very impressed by its performance. It was my EDC gun for quite a while until my Kimber Pro CDP came along.
