Shooting your gun in Everglades

What about shooting a gun (handgun, rifle) in the wild like Everglades if you find a safe place to do that?
I hear those stories all the time how people used to shoot their guns somewhere on the lake, in the forest etc.
Is it legal?
Was it legal?
Anybody does that?

I live in Florida now and it would be really nice to go and shoot to Everglades sometimes

Any info is appreciated

Do it and go to jail directly. I would advise you read the local area regulations since all of these areas are controlled by some agency and have regulations pertaining to firearms and such.

I have to agree... I would think that would be a hazard for wildlife.
