Bizarre MS Frontpage 2002 problem

Okay, here's the short version...FrontPage decided to overwrite my main website page with a copy of my latest secondary page work, so I tried to revert to a previous copy...every time I try to open an original, good copy of the main page in FrontPage - #@$%@#% Microsith FrontPage overwrites it with the screwed-up copy it has stored somewhere (in a temp file?!?) I can't find to delete. I just want to go back to my older, correct, uncorrupted webpage copy. This shouldn't be that hard...I've tried it a dozen ways and no dice, no matter what I do @#$%^ Microsith FrontPage thinks it knows better than me. Anyone ever run into this before? This is absolutely maddening, and I've already wasted 6 hours plus on what should have amounted to a simple file overwrite in File Explorer, and I'd prefer not to have to re-write my entire website from scratch, especially for such an idiotic reason as this. TIA.
