New CCW license waiting period
How long does it take to have a CCW license when using the electronic finger printing? They say 2-4 weeks, is that pretty accurate?

It seems to vary, but I got mine in about 2.5 weeks. Mailed the package off on Mar 31, received the permit in the mail around Apr 18.

I sent my paperwork off a month or so ago, two weeks later I recieved a new fingerprint card because the Sherrif who's name was on my first one is nolonger certified to fingerprint. I've since gotten my prints redone and have been waiting for about two to three weeks since then.

It would be exactly 2 weeks today, the day I mailed my application for CCW. I was trying not to get too excited when I saw a letter from the licensing bureau. When I opened it...Waaah Its a letter of omission. I did not send a receipt for my fingerprinting and they can't process my application. I thought if I do it electronically, they can view my payment online. Duuh!
I sent one right away. I hope I don't have to wait another 2 weeks.
I'm sorry my G19, I guess you have to stay home, when daddy goes out tonight.

Mine took 12 days total to receive from the day I dropped the application into the mailbox, including 2 weekends and the 4th of July.
Electronic printing rocks!

mine took right at 100 days. At day 91, I sent the DOA an email, and appearantly someone kept putting me at the bottom of the pile. The lady said she would take care of me and two weeks later I had the license in my hands.

Nope, just unlucky enough to start the process when someone went on vacation or didn't like the new flavor of coffee offered at the office.

I think I sent mine in on the 9th, still waiting, but mine is out of state and is being mailed to WI. I suppose I could try to find out if my money order was cashed yet?

Does the electronic fingerprints work for non-resident CCW, or do you have to do them in florida?
