H&K P7 with a spare mag as my primary, with a S&W Mod. 36 Chief's Special as a back-up, and I usually have both....

I carry a semi-auto. I really admire Smith & Wesson J frames, but just don't shoot them worth a darn. [No doubt a failing on my part]
I have a Taurus snubby in forty-five cal. that I will sometimes pocket when I am walking around the yard or going to my mailbox, which is about 150 yards from my front door. Seems to be a decent gun, although I haven't shot it a lot. Bought it on a whim one day.......

642 with the c.t. grips. Really haven't taken the glock out since. Even with open sight at 15 yards i can usually keep 4/5 in a sheet of paper with fairly rapid firing. 7 yards and in i run 5/5 without the lazer. I usually dont practice a whole lot with the lazer. If it's at night you'll see it and if its in the day its not worth looking for though you can usually pic it up on a sunny day at 7 yards without much trouble. Maybe favorate thing is being able to shoot from the hip if needed and do it accurately. Anyways its light and you hardly know its there. I live in a pretty good area so i'm not feeling the need to pack something with 15 rounds. Not to mention even with 5 i should be able to get the job done.

G26 or G17. On a very rare occasion...SWM60
Update: 60 has been retired. LCP for deep concealment.

Autos. Deep concealment is a P-3AT. I have nothing against a revolver though, in fact I like shooting them, but they are generally a little large due to the fact they have a cylinder.

Until recently, I carried a G20 exclusively.
G20 Setup:
Extended slide lock, slide release, and mag catch.
3.5lb connector/NY1 spring.
XS Tritium Big Dot sights.
Wolff 22# spring/ guide rod.
2 spare 15 round mags.
It is loaded with 15+1 rounds of DoubleTap 165gr Gold Dot ammo.
Holsters are C-TAC (almost always), Tucker Gunleather HF2 (most other times) or (occasionally) Comp-tac Settable cant. Blade-Tech dual mag OWB carrier.
Lately, however, I have carried my new G29 about 50% of the time.
G29 Setup:
Extended slide release
3.5lb connector/NY1 spring.
Wolff 21# spring/guide rod.
Ameriglo tritium sights.
(sometimes) 2 spare 15 rd mags
It is loaded with 10+1 rounds of DoubleTap 165gr Gold Dot ammo.
Holster is usually a Bianchi Triad ankle holster, if not then the Tucker HF2 or C-TAC. I have pocket carried it in the 5.11s. Blade-Tech dual mag OWB carrier if I carry spares.
Sometimes I carry both.

I carry either a Ruger SP-101 .357 with 158 gr. double taps using gold dot hollow points. Or a Glock 27 .40 S&W with 165 gr. double taps again using gold dot hollow points.....
The ruger is carried in a Comp Tac C-T.A.C IWB holster. And the Glock 27 is in either a Comp Tac C-T.A.C or carried by a Clip-Draw. I use a good sturdy 1.5" wilderness belt and have no fear of the 27 goin off on its own. But would not do so in just a pair of shorts or anything without a good belt helping protect the trigger.

Just to keep things simple, I carry some combination of five different pistols: As a primary weapon either a Glock G-21, an S&W Model 686, or a German-made Walther PPK-S.
As a backup weapon either a Beretta, 'Alley Cat', that same Walther PPK-S, a second G-21, or an S&W Model 59. (Which has always been something of a, 'lucky gun' for me!)
Initially, I couldn't make up my mind how to answer the survey; after thinking about it, I'm going to say, 'automatic'.

When I can even carry it's an auto
Usually a P239 in .357 or a 1911. When out 4 wheeling, it's a Glock 21.

Depending on the occasion, generally a HK P2000SK .40 LEM, or a Sig P239 .40, and a G27.
