230 gr. cast round nose

Ran another 250 rounds of my own cast bullet through my
G-36 and it ran perfectly. Can't say the same for my aging eyes but my 36 sure did its job. Have run cast bullet in it for ten+ years and that works out to 100-300 a week. Not a big deal for a Glock but my 1911's run just as well too. Got my G-36 after my wife complained that the 1911 was ruining her couch. She's a G-17 kind of woman so to keep the peace I got my first plastic gun. Use to be able to get better group with the G-36 than with thousand dollar Kimbers. Damn fine pistol in the hands of someone who can see.

Yeah, mine runs great as well. To tell you the truth though, If I shoot anything more that 100 rounds at a setting, my wrist gets really tired. I ran about 350 through it one weekend about a year ago, the next day I thought I broke something in my Wrist. If I'm gonna shoot that much I have to wrap it up.
Getten old is not for the meek I guess.

I've been using the 200gr PHP (Pentagon Hollow Point) from Hunters Supply in my G36. He is a very dear friend of mine (at HS) and sent me 500 of them to test out...

If interested , I tell ya they are very accurate plus got a nasty little hollow point to boot.

Glad to hear you old boys shooting lead through your 36's. Dang nice little Glock...

Stay Safe.

We are with Pecos on extended shooting sessions with the 36. The buck is such that our (admittedly aging) hands get tired after 100 or so rounds. That is our only objection to our 36. Excellent carry handgun.

We trudge on.

I load 7.7grs Power Pistol under a 230gr XTP, or any 230gr'er, and am getting 907fps out of the little G36 with factory recoil system. Got about 1600 rds through it and NO issues at all.

Although I am a big bore hand gun shooter and shoot tons of 44mag loads out here, I got to say that the little G36, as Y'all said, (at least with my loads) does get to the 62 year old wrist after a hundred or two rounds...

Hey guys, we're getting

Stay safe amigo's.

My 230 casts are pushed by 5.4 grains of W231 and don't punish my wrist to much. What does ruin my hand is firing my SW442 with my carry ammo. My 38 reloads are very mild with only 4.0 of BE.

I've been shooting mine with 230gr fmj and 6.2gr of Hodgdon Univ. seated to 1.230-235. At 1.260 OAL this load goes arnd 755fps, at 1.230 (Hornady OAL) the same load clocks at 780-790. My carry loads of Fed. HST 230+p and Win. Ranger talon 230+p clock at 850 and 880 respectively. No FTE or stovepipes of the 200rnds I've fired so far.

I might as well chime in. My G36 continues to be solid and reliable piece. Still no issues; fun to shoot, accurate. It's just a good gun. That's my story and no need to change it.

Well guys I am going to be also shooting a G36 in a few days. In fact mine should be here on Wednesday afternoon. Up until last week I had been carrying a G30SF. The thickness and weight finally got the best of me so I sold the G30SF. I have had my right hip replaced twice now and with each passing year it seems the weight bothers me a little more.

With that said I am getting a used G36 off of the classifieds here at GT. It is coming with a lot of extras and I can hardly wait till Wednesday afternoon.
