Ever tried a DIY on Gun License transfer

I've tried license renewals myself when I got curious and had nothing to do. I managed to save a few bucks in doing so. Now I am curious as to doing a gun license transfer. Anybody ever tried it? Any experiences? Thanks.

I always do the renewals myself, not really bad and the wait is not that long.

I did one transfer when poodle bought my pistol, hindi rin ganoon katagal ang paghihintay. Yung pila sa labas ng Crame ang medyo matagal, mga 45 minute wait time. Baka nagbago na.

darwin25,

just hazy on this. when I renewed my gun license/s, all I brought with me were the following:

- Old license card
- Application for Firearms license form
- 2x2 and 1x1 pictures
- paid the license fees and gun safety seminar

if I do a transfer considering I am a buyer, does it mean that I will bring the following and everything will be just good

- seller's firearms license
- deed of sale
- Buyer's Application for Firearms license form
- Buyer's 2x2 and 1x1 pictures
- cash for the license fees

OR do we still need to bring the sangkaterbang requirements like what 9mx mentioned?

The requirements are still the same. The difference is that gunstores gets the necessary clearances for you i.e, court clearane, mayor's clearance, police clearance and DI cearance. When you do DIY, you have to get them yourself from your respective City/Municipal halls, local courts, local Police headquarters and from the PNP-DI. It's also the same when you buy a new gun from the gunstores and opt to process the licensing yourself. With the transfer, the only additional is the deed of sale and you have to have it notarized by yourself too.

When it comes to renewals of licenses, yes sir valor1 tama ka. Yun lang ang kelangan.

around 3t nagastos ko dati for renewing my firearms. wala naman iba hiningi sa akin maliban dun sa old license. i renewed 1-unit cal.40 and 1-unit 9mm. both are expired.

with regards to gun transfer, my experience is through gunstore lang. deed of sale + xerox copy of valid ID(buyer) + firearm id(seller) + pictures(buyer) + 6T(+/-) + 1 month wait = plastic id

Did it when I transferred license of my shotgun from my dad to me. Not so easy on the local clearances, but it got better at FED naman.

If you could spare the time, and lost income, away from work, and don't mind queuing here and there, it's not that hard naman.
