Hollywood, FL - Big Al's the best place to shoot?
How are there handgun prices and are they ok with ordering guns or having an only ffl ship one in for me cheaper? I want to get a kahr MK9 in stainless and find a good place to shoot my handgun.
Can I use my own ammo at Big Al's? I'm new to the area.

Just my views

prices are so so, not big deals on guns. Once in away on a used trade in you might get a break. I also believe their FFL rates are high, like 30dollars or maybe 35, but I could be wrong. I know gun&knives is even higher.

Take it shoot it, if you don't lke big als, go down the street to Park ave, turne left go north about 1mile look for the sign to american indoor and try them out.

The range at American Indoor is much better than Al's. The owners there take care of the range.

I havent compared prices. I want to say its about ~$9.xx for a lane at American. Both of the places are in OK neighborhoods. Neither has an advantage there and they are less than 2 min from each other. You can get off 95 on Pembroke and go west one light. You see the signs in the warehouses on the South side of the road as you approach the light at 30th ave. Als is off Hallandale Beach Blvd about 1 mi west of 95. 30th ave runs between Pembroke and Hallandale Blvd north and south which is why they are easy to get to.
I tried doing a little gun business at Al's a year ago and wasnt pleased with the outcome but I didnt shoot there. I think American is a much better range and the owner is a straight up good guy. He is working hard to make the place a good place to shoot. I know the clientele is better as well. Alot of respected shooters practice there.

I was just at American Indoor. Saw they were hiring but the guy is looking for someone with LE or military experience. No biggie.
Kahr PM9 for 750.00+ :O Holy crap. He told me me ffl transfer fee was only $30 so that isn't bad plus a 5.00 background check.
Does having a FL ccw permit just get rid of the waiting period or does it also get rid of the background check fee?
