Gasoil4ever,
Wow, I just looked up your new ride and I must say, I'm a little jealous! That is the kind of bike I would ride myself... If I made the funds for it a priority AND it was available in the U.S.!
It truly looks to be a masterpiece in design.
Chad (missing old Suzuki Bandit right now).

MT 01 is not available in the US ? ? ? ?
It's a bit expensive (+/- 18.000$ MSRP here)
This bike is incredible, its all about torque and good vibrations.
Brakes and chassis are just the best you can find... The brakes come from the 2008 Yamaha R1 as well as the fork.
It's more than enough to have fun on our roads (freeway restricted to 81mph) The best ride i could find to enjoy the sound of a huge but great V-Twin (work done on injection is awesome, you can ride at 1.000rpm on 4th gear with no hick ups) on our roads. And whenever you need, just accelerate and the 15.5m.kg of torque leave everybody behind. Its more or less a Corvette Z06 on 2 wheels ;-)
Design is perfect, you always get someone to ask you about the bike while waiting at a red light, and cars live you the room you need on the freeway when hearing the sound of the engine (wait until i fit the Akrapovic titanium exhaust)

Lucky European! I too would have an MT-01 if it were available here.
I find nothing sexier than a big V-twin in a sporty chassis.

For some reason, the Japanese manufacturers think the US market only buys sportbikes or cruisers. Harley knock-off or crotch rocket, that's your choice.
I think a sporty naked V-twin would be a big hit (but then I just bought a Tuono).

Unfortunately no. As NMGlocker said, if it isn't a Harley or equivalent or a race replica, they think we won't buy it. The sad part is that they are partially correct. Those are the biggest sellers. We had the Yamaha TDM here for a few years and it went over like a lead balloon. They sold like crazy in Europe because it was just a good reliable and comfortable bike.
Enjoy your bike. They look amazing. If they did bring it out over here there are tons of aftermarket parts for that engine as IIRC it is the same thing that is in the Yamaha Road Star Warrior. They make TONS of torque. The MT should wheelie without even thinking about it.

I thought you could get it there. You're missing a bike that's one of a kind... actually if not for a MT-01 i think i wouldn't be riding any more... This bike is just near to perfect.
I know you have parts for it though...
I am looking for a Stage III Akrapovic kit which is not available ofr sale in France...

C'est bon! Nice Shark lid too.
How do you carry luggage with the cans (exhaust) so high and tight? Or, as it just occurred to me, is soft luggage forbidden in France?

You have 4 hooks under the seat...
But i hardly carry anything...
My wife appreciates the "heating seat", it's just warm enough for her not to get cold...

Yes, we can get Akras in the US and yes, it's expensive as hell. Akrapovic had been working very hard at marketing themselves to the various manufacturers. Even BMW started to carry them as OEM accessories.

You "dual canners" have the short end of the stick when it comes to aftermarket pipes. I remember pricing full systems for my TL-1000. Crap they were expensive only because of the two cans. A full race Akra system for an FZ1 (yes, I have been pricing and dreaming again ) is only about $900. Not bad when you consider the work that goes into them.
