scottsdale radar, not glock related

Hi,

I was traveling 65mph on the 101 loop and a radar flash went off. Does that mean I will get a ticket? Does anyone know if the ticket goes to the registered owner? Thanks.

Last I heard, they were set at 11 MPH over the posted limit.

Thanks, that's what I heard too but the flash went off, don't really know what that means.

65 is the limit there so I can't see you getting a ticket for it.

It probably was not you. The cameras in Scottsdale are set to go off at 11 MPH over the R&P.

The ticket does go to the R.O. of the vehicle. At that point you can do a couple of things....

1) You will get the ticket in the mail that has a color photo of the violator and a picture of the plate. If the picture is not of you then you can check a box saying so. There is a field below that where you can identify the driver if you wish (I don't know who does).

2) If the picture is of you then just throw the ticket out.

The city will then send a process server to hand deliver the ticket to you.

Dodge the server for 120 days and the charge will be dismissed without prejudice.

OOOOPS!

I forgot that DPS is now in charge of the Photo Enforcement on the 101 so I don't know how accurate the above information is.

Also, I read that the City of Scottsdale recently changed vendors from Redflex to American Traffic Solutions and some flashes occurred at lower speeds during equipment testing as part of the transition.

Yes. In Arizona we do not need front plates.
