checking in with the PA crew

Just figured I'd say a big hey how are you in this forum. I'm a displaced PA resident currently stationed at Incirlik AB Turkey. I couldn't bring my G23 with me(no rifled firearms here) so I just have to talk about them and decide on what I will buy when I return before giving up my military ID. Probably a 21SF since my hands aren't the biggest.

Speaking of being displaced from PA it is a giant pain in the ass to get a new drivers license when not in the state let alone the country. The DMV sucks but an email to Rendell's office fixed my problems it seems.

Having been in the military myself, I believe as long as you are onn active duty, your driver's license, even though expired is still good. There is no need to go home every few years to renew your DL.

Stay safe over there!

As for the "no rifled firearms" thing... You need a "Librator"!

Yeah a DL doesn't in the states or most other countries. Turkey on the other hand is a whole different animal. I can't even drive the military trucks till I get some lame piece of paper from them saying in turkish that I can drive. This country is weird about govt control. Hell all my electronics I brought are on a special customs list so I don't black market everything.

I was at Incirlik 3 times - Once TDY from Germany with the F-16s & twice TDY from England with the F-111's. We're talking like '83 the first time and maybe '89 the last time I was there.
They used to have the most horrid base housing ( and other things ) the first time I was there. As a matter of fact, it used to be considered a "remote" if you were stationed there- like Korea or Iceland. The last time I was there, they had brand new base housing that was beautiful.
The only time I ever played golf was at Incirlik
Too much Raki ( very little is too much! )
Too much Effes
Too much time in "rip-off" alley

Actually, I enjoyed Turkey more and more each time I went. Wish I could have seen more of the historical sites while I was there....

Put a few bucks away each payday and come home ( safely ) , and enjoy a gun shop shopping spree!!
