Taveling to SC for a visit

Hey guys and girls,

Driving up to Clemson to visit a friend for her bday. What's the scoop on guns in the car? I have a GA CCW, but apparently it isnt recognized by SC. I'm not looking for trouble, but I dont like being far from home without my partner, especially when I have my lil sis with me (I'm sure you guys understand). Any help would be appreciated. Thanks..

Anyone that does not have a concealed weapons permit AND can legally own a pistol ... the weapon must be secured in a closed glove compartment or center console that latches shut ... it does NOT have to lock and the pistol can be loaded. You can also have it in the trunk, or in a closed container secured by an integral fastener and transported in the luggage compartment of the vehicle.
