I am considering buying a 20 Ga Browning BPS Upland Special with a 22" Barrel. I plan on hunting Grouse in north GA, huning rabbits behind dogs, and maybe quail.
Does anyone have any opinions. Do you think a 22" barrel is too short
I have a 22" 20ga BPS, it's a regular stock not the upland special. I ended up getting a 26" barrel for it. Since I put it on I have not used the 22" barrel. It was handy & easy to carry with the 22". For rabbits around dogs in thick cover with the right load & choke the 22" would probably be fine for you, the 26" would also be fine. For quail & grouse I would rather have a 26". If the price is right you can always get an extra barrel later if you feel the need. For your use a 20 ga BPS is a great choice.
