mine was a ten pointer in 1990..it was on the second day of buck seas..around 12 oclock..it was about a 150 yard shot..he was running behind 3 doe, staying about 10 to 15 yards behind them with his head down the hole time..
i was in a deer stand that was old about 10 years old was falling apart..i had just unloaded my win. mod# 70, 30-06 when i saw them..i put a shell in and in got hung up in the bolt, eject. that one and stuff another one in there, was in a sitting post., took the shot, hit him on the left side and took out his lungs and heart. never could find his heart..was usein a 150 grain fed bullet, think it was a soft point..anyway he ran about 20 to 25 yards, took a junp over the stream and cane back down in the middle of the stream..he died in mid air..he dress out at 155 lb..since them have took a few deer but none like him..

biggest one ive gotten so far was a 7 point should have been an 8 but one of the tines busted off. 10 inch spread, weighed approx 155 without the head legs or hide.

walked out of a valley to my left about 130 yards. laid down underneath a tree. when he finally stood up the kill zone was covered by the tree. it was the neck or the arse or wait til he moved. i opted to send a remington 165 gr ballistic tip out of my 30.06 to his neck. he dropped where he stood. and then he was dinner a week later ;c

In 1995 I got permission to hunt a farm in Ulster County, NY. At 2PM on the second day of the season I shot a horse of a six pointer that dressed out at 198 pounds.
I won't mention the two bigger ones that eluded me. One in 1994 and the other in 1997. Now those boys had racks!!!!

In 1992, I got a nine-pointer with my .50 cal carbine muzzleloader (16" bbl). I was in a treestand and "sick as a dog" with the flu; I'll never forget it. ;9

I shot the best buck of my life this last season. 10 point with a small sticker coming off of the left brow tine. I shot him at approx. 100 yards at first light on the second day of the season.

Shot him with a Remington SS BDL 30-06. 180 Hornady SP handloads.

Ya all must be talking white-tails. My big boy was a mule deer
in Colorado. Typical 4X4 with a 28 inch spread, heavy beams. Dressed out over 200 pounds. 270 yard shot, Rem 700 30.06.

No bruiser white-tails, but did take a unicorn with five points
on the one side. What a goofy morning that was!

He is my first shoulder mount. I killed my first deer in 1976, and have been an avid Whitetail hunter since. Like I said, he is the best I have shot to date.

Got a 14 pointer with my Chevy Beretta coming home from work one morning a 6:30. I thought a passer-by was going to shoot me for hitting him, said he'd been tracking this buck for weeks awaiting the opening of deer season. Only deer story I have to tell, I'm a non-hunter.

was coming home this year from hunting and a picktruck with a horse tr..sped by me doing about 80 mph..he got about a mile ahead of me an wamo..he got himself a nice deer..did a # on the truck, i pulled over but he had another pickup with him..he was lucky..

Nice 9 pointer taken in Southwest Indiana. 195 pounds field dressed with a huge neck (corn fed). Shot was taken at about 50 yards. 12 gauge Remington Express w/ Hastings Cantilever Rifled Slug Barrel. Bushnell Trophy Shotgun Scope 1.75x4 Variable. Winchester Foster Style Slugs.

I shot some big ones back in my youth. I shot 3 of them that dressed over 200 lbs. We used to enter the local buck board contests at the bars. Each of them had a platform scale to weigh the deer on. So, we had a pretty good idea what they weighed.

One of them was a 6 point but weighed 207. One was a nice big (20 inch)10 point that weighed 209. I won the local boards both years. But, about 15 miles east of me, it always took a buck in the 240 class to win.

A friend of mine found a pair of shed antlers (from this year) that are just huge. I took some pictures of them - 13 points. The bases are about the size of beer cans. 10 inch points. I took them back to him last Monday.

I went in his office and he had another set just about identical to the set I had borrowed. They were from 2 years ago. Just about a perfect match and about 95% as big. When I get the pictuers back, I'll post them.

He told me he has one side of a buck with a 29" beam. I'll try to get pictures of it some time.

Shot was 90 yards offhand with a Mark 10 Mauser, custom .25-06
Dropped in his tracks
Watched that buck leave the state of Maryland, swim across the Potomac River and step onto the West Virginia shoreline before popping him. Currently hanging on the wall.

Nice 6 pointer on a county highway this past season with my glock. Felt bad for the guy who owned the brand new F250. His front bumper, fender, and headlight softened up the buck first.

On Jan. 1, 1999 I shot a young buck that weighed 175 lbs. However, he only had a scrawny 4-point rack. I used a Marlin 1894 .44 Rem. Mag. (Federal 185-grain JHP) at 75 yards.

At this location, there is plenty of protein, because of the soybean farm, but I suspect the area lacks in the minerals necessary to produce huge racks. I've seen other large bucks with small racks.
