That is one beautiful 1911. One off custom or is a production model?

For my personal 1911 tribute, I found one of the Anniversary III models of the Colt 1911. I wanted something that I will keep forever, something retro, but also something I can shoot without bloodying my hand. (as I did with the first few hundred rounds through this - before the beavertail was added.)
Sent it to Colt Custom. Basic tactical upgrades. Lowered, flared ejection port, throated barrel, replaced GI sights with gold dot front and Harrison Retro rear sight. New trigger. New hammer (retro bobbed), magwell, beavertail. No ambi safety. No checkering on frontstrap. Black Oxide finish.
It won't appeal to everyone. But it's a nice mix of old and new - for me.

Here's my Springfield GI I posted before. Unfortunately it no longer looks like this since I've customized it over the past few months. It's still at the smith getting the finishing touches. Still a neat pic.
