Ed Brown Executive Elite - first 160 rounds during break in.
Colt Combat Commander - bought new in 1970 - a few mods and NP3 later
Colt I built in the mid-70's using factory "seconds" slide and frame - just to learn how the 1911 works. Wilson Hard Chrome and a .22 conversion kit done to match
Para Ordnance P14-45 - NP3 Frame with Black Roguard slide - early production - several thousand rounds downrange with zero Malf's
Latest 1911 - Sig Tacops TB - with VZ's

Wow! I cannot fully express how jealous this pic makes me. What a beautiful (and apparently accurate) gun.
As an aside, I'm curious as to the back-story of your screen-name (I only ask because I see you have a name-tape of such attached to your gear in one of your pics).

I have officially re-entered the 1911 world.
Greetings from the Philippines.

Hehehe. It's just like riding a bicycle, you never forget, I always shoot my best with the 1911 and it showed during a short test-fire.

When I get off shift tomorrow I will be hitting the range to test some preliminary 200gr LSWC loads I made last night.
One thing I can say, this gun is TIGHT......the only other 1911 I remember being this tight of the ones I have owned is an old LB TRS........
Brian, I am going to give the adjustable sights a chance, the rear sight on this pistol is dehorned on the edges......

Tell me more about this pistol. It almost looks like a Combat Government as a base gun based on the front sight, but that gun was circa 1983, you say this was a 1970's build? Something about this gun intrigues me.

t barker- love everything about the pistol except the beavertail-I am not one of those who gets hammer bite so not a priority for me. I wonder if just the shortened hammer spur by itself would have gotten the job done?
