Hi Brolyz,
You have a good selection for shows. You are about 40 min. from the Nashville Fairgrounds, and they have a gun show there every month during 2008. Go to "Goodman Shows" and click on "Bill Goodman Shows", then select Tennessee show dates for the 2008 schedule and detailed directions.

I have been to them a few times and comparing them to Jackson, Memphis, and a few out of state shows, I would rate them better than average. I think decent to good deals can usually be found. They usually have a good turnout of vendors and patrons. Selection like turnout varies from show to show. Overall, I would rate it as a good show. If I was as close as you, I would probably go most every month.
There is also a very good show held south of Nashville, at Franklin Tn. That is probably another 15 min. drive for you. They have 4-5 shows per year. You can find their shows listed on the net under the heading BOB POPE SHOWS.

Have you been to Tennessee Gun Country? It is located on Ft.Campbell Blvd across and down from Hardee's . He is a LOT CHEAPER than Grandpa's . I have bought 2 guns from him so far . He gives Military and Law Enforcement discounts.

Hi Broylz - Welcome! I'm in Clarksville as well. There is a gunshow next weekend in Hopkinsville, at the fairgrounds. The last one I went to there was much better than any I've been to in Nashville for the last several years. In fact, I had stopped going to them because they always ended up being mililtary surplus outlets or they attracted vendors that didin't want to sell anything based on their prices.
The Shell Shop in Hopkinsville has an indoor range, and there's the Montgomery County Shooting Complex as well -

There's a USPSA club in Dickson - http://www.ntps.org/ . They have shoots once a month. I haven't been, but friends at work have and say it's a good time.

Gun shows around Nashville.....
Bill Goodman - http://www.gunshow.net/nashville-old.htm
Bob Pope - http://www.bobpopegunshows.com/
I've found the Pope show to be better for my needs; the December 2007 show was probably the best I've seen in years. The Goodman show is damned by being at the TN State Fairgrounds, which IMO, is the crappiest excuse for a state facility you will ever see. The Goodman show also has more than it's share of people selling jewelry, purses, and beanie babies, although I have noticed some of that creeping into Bob Pope's show recently.
From Clarksville, you aren't far from the HUGE Louisville show.....
