There are now made with .090 thick kydex. I have made these in the past, from .060 thick kydex, and sold them here. These are just $16.00 a pair, shipped. I also make most of these magazine types in a double holder as well. My double magazine holders are $21.00 shipped. My email address is: tacticalkydex@bellsouth.net This is also my P/P account. I can make these for different Magazines. So email me or PM me with any of your questions. Thanks

mpearce? I had a couple of the lighter weight carriers and finally broke one getting out of my vehicle. I really like them though. These look quite a bit more robust. Might have to give them a try.

Yes I have had great sucess with my thinner ones but you could get them caught getting in and out of your vehicle and break them at the top of the loop. It's funny that that is how all of the broken ones happened. I have sold 1000's of them and had only a hand full of problem. I'm going to the .093 thick material cause I want to make holsters as well as the mag holders and I don't want to have too many different sizes to deal with. I still make the Kahr and Makarov magazine holders from the .060 material due to it's small size.
Thanks.

mpearce, I thought this might be you. How much better do these hold up than the thinner ones? All the other ones I got went to the scrap pile after a few trips in and out of the car. They were super comfortable and I hated to see them go. I might have to give the thicker ones a shot. Have any of these broken yet like the old ones?

No these haven't broke and personally I don't thick you could break these. These are 1.5 times thicker than my old holders and are super stiff and strong.
Your original mag holders were fantastic, although getting in/out of the truck had 'em torn, as you described, in a few months....thicker Kydex is nice.
These are some of the finest magazine pouches I've ever used, and the price is right!

These are good looking mag holders; nice work! I'm very interested in placing an order, but it does concern me that everyone seems to have had some problems with the old ones breaking after a few months.
Is it typical for mag holders to break every few months? I'm not knocking the product, just trying to get educated, I would love to make a purchase if i thought they may last longer than a few months.
The "old" ones were very nice, but they were made from pretty thin Kydex. Held up wonderfully until one entered/exited a vehicle many many times, then the Kydex tended to tear on the upper portion, as the holder/mag would catch on the seat.
These new ones, with thicker Kydex, appear to be the ticket! My order is in.

Hmmm...I'm interested in a pair for my newly purchased Glock 17 (which should get here in a week) but I was wondering if you have any for a Sig 226 9mm.

Yes I do make these for the Sig as well. I have a lot of different magazines to use to mold holders for. Just email or IM me here to see if I have what you are looking for. If you would like to purchase more than one pair, the cost would only be $16.00 for that additional pair, and would be mailed with the first pair.
Thanks.
