i have a simmons 4-12x40 deerfield rifle scope..well a friend borrowed it last year and when i got it back for deer season it was broke..he was having trouble adjusting the scope an took out the little screw on the eye piece, and never put it back an lost it..it has been turned many times, i can't see the holes any more..it has been out of warrenty for a lot of years..what should i do ?? can it be fixed..

You might try contacting the maker and ask their advice. Hopefully a low priced repair can be made at the factory or at an authorized repair station. Good luck!

Call Simmons. Could be that all you need is the screw, which they'd probably send you free. I have a couple of Simmons scopes, and they're warranted for life.

If the friend is responsable for it being broke,then i would dune him for it.You would think he would step forward and offer to fix or replace it.
