The movie Tigerland

For anybody who had Basic Training at Fort Polk, this movie should bring back some fond memories. I was there after Vietnam was finished, but Basic Training was still pretty much like in the movie.

My brother in laws brother is an active Marine. For the movie, they used a bunch of them as extras. He's in the movie for a few seconds.

SleezeVille is still the same. Now that the old man that owned most of the land around Leesville has passed away, the youngsters are allowing more development. More businesses are popping up other than the strip joints that out number gas stations.

I've only seen that movie one time...

At Reception at Fort Knox, while waiting for BASIC to start back in '04.

I agree, but the scenery looks a LOT like Fort Polk, even though I think it was filmed in Florida.
