Commandery saber refinishing
I recently received my commandery saber, and oh my gosh is it in sorry state. I need to get it refinished, but want to keep the historical past owners names carved on the blade. Can any of you brothers recommend a good place to refurbish a sword and scabbard? I will get pics up later today. Whats your opinions on getting it done at one of our friendly gun refinishers. Chrome and black chrome seem like a good idea to me, i just do not know who to get the enameling done. Thanks, Don
The supposed quietude of a good man allures the ruffian; while on the other hand arms, like laws, discourage and keep the invader and plunderer in awe, and preserve order in the world, as well as property. The same balance would be preserved were all the world destitute of arms for all would be alike; but since some will not, others dare not lay them aside. Horrid mischief would ensue were one half the world deprived of the use of them.
