I know what happened to Heretic (chuck)
Hey all..
I had sent several emails without response. His wife was clearing out his email, and came across mine and wrote me to let me know he passed away from a heart attack. Say a prayer, tip your glass, light up, whatever for our resident Heretic. He was a bright man, good at debate, and I think too a good man in many ways. Just thought some of you would like to know.

Heretic was a great man, the smartest I've ever read. The world has lost a paragon of reason. The news of his demise upsets me greatly.

Sorry to hear that Heretic passed. Although I infrequently post in RI, I religiously lurk, and have really missed Heretic's posts.
With sympathy to all who miss his presence.

Well I guess He knows by now if he was right about the afterlife. I guess it's the only way any of us will really know.

I have not been to this site for quite some time. My intension today was to engage Heretic in coversation. I am quite saddened to hear this news.
May God bless and comfort his family during this time of grief.

Been gone for a bit !
I have been gone for some time, and just logged on, I was looking forward to see what some of the old crowd had to say. That was not what I expected. I am truly sad, some of the best discutions ever came from that man!

I haven't posted around here for quite a while, but I remember Heretic vividly and really liked his style.
Heretic was a great read and thought provoking to both sides.
