Extended Slide Release for 2 Pin G19?

After looking at a couple of online sites, it's not clear to me whether there's any problem using an OEM Glock, or other maker, extended slide stop for my G19 Gen2 "2 pin" pistol??

Comments?

Thanks,

George

The G19 is an exception to the 2 pin vs. 3 pin G17 9mm slide stop usage rules. Both the 2 pin and 3 pin G19 use a different style locking block from the older G17. Thus the G19 always uses the more modern 3 pin style extended slide stop: part number 7496 (marked 7482-# on the back).

I have a Gen2 17 & 19. The factory extended slide release for "Gen2" Glock's doesn't fit in the 19. It's great in my 17 though.

The Vickers slide release did not play very well in my Gen 2 17 (even after bending the spring), but it works great in the Gen2 19!

So i would recommend the Vickers.

+1 on the above.

I just installed an extended slide stop on my Gen 2 G19.

I can verify it is the same P/N as the extended slide stop that fits a Gen 3 G26 or Gen 3 G19.
