Hmm, that is a small one,throw it back, lol.
Somone caught a new state record one around here back in April or May.
Caught it right under the I-10 bridge where it crsses the Amite River.
I beleive it weighed 215 lbs. Lucky for him that it rolled in the fishing line and got tangled and then drowned. They have caught several catfish over 100 lbs out of the Miss. river.

Pete - Wow! That would be a reel surprise. I couldn't get the photo to load, but did read the article. I agree it's best to release them if possible. I like the idea of having huge, ancient creatures in our rivers.
