Philly area, where do you shoot?
Just wondering where everyone likes to shoot? Indoors and outdoors. Maybe we can meet up some time?
Cheers

3rd and Market?
With all the tourists there, the cops'd be all over you!!!
You gotta come out here to West Philly! 54th and Market- Murder Capital of Philly!
But for the good kind of shooting I go to South Philly Archery and Guns on 9th and Ellsworth (in the Italian Market, a stone's throw from
Pat's and Geno's).
I've also had good experiences with Firing Line on Front St.
Used to shoot at Colosimo's at 10th and Spring Garden- right across from the building where you apply for your PA LTCF- but it's way expensive and fairly shady. It's also tied to a highly disproportional number of "crime guns" recovered in Philly.
Once in a while when I have a day free I'll gather some friends and some rifles and make the hike out to Wicen's Farm.

I shoot indoor handgun at Pistol People in Andalusia(Bensalem, bucks co). Nice safe range and very affordable. I am currently joining the Langhorne Rod and Gun Club. They have an awesome outdoor covered handgun range and a short indoor range. They also have action pistol shoots and Practical/tactical rifle shoots open to the public. Very nice and also affordable. If you think about it, 3rd and Market isn't too far off the mark. Less than one block south of Market on 2nd is Glam, where Allen Iverson was shot at (while he was still playing for the 76ers).
I shoot at a range in Chester County, which is where I grew up. I've been to most of the ranges in the city (Colosimo's, The Firing Line) and didn't want to join up. I have heard good things about SPAG though.

I bought my 36 there and was really impressed with them. I finally shot there last week, left work early on Friday. Brought my own ammo, no questions and shot about 400 rounds. I think I'll go there more often, very friendly atmosphere.

SPAG has IDPA, but I have not shot IDPA at that range. I haven't shot IDPA is several years. I probably should get back into it.
Last I heard, CP had IDPA and maybe another form of competition (steel plate shooting?).

Gotta go to Kenso if you want fine outdoor shooting....
But for legal shooting in the city limits, South Phila Archery and gun is a good choice. CP is IMHO the best, because they have more lanes, longer distances, and a kick butt air handling system.
If you are interested in IDPA shooting, Double Action in Delco has a match monday night. http://www.delcoidpa.com

I shoot pistol matches at DCFS. When I have paid-time-off to burn at the end of the year, or just get the itch to shoot a match in winter, I go to Classic Pistol.
Several places to shoot IDPA around, but they all have matches on weekday nights, so I can't go without taking a day off.
