Hey guys, Im planning a trip to NC this year, I know my CWP (virginia) is valid in NC but I was wondering, whats your stipulations on Concealed Carry? Im looking up the laws but I just wanted to know first hand from some CWP holders in NC, thanks guys

Best bet is to just look up the laws really. Black and white can give you better info than he say she say IMO. One thing for sure, if u get pulled hand over your license, registration and CCP all at the same time.

On what basis do you make this for sure statement? The reason I ask, is there is no requirement for you to give up your CHP if you are pulled over. You are only supposed to keep your hands on the steering wheel, or at least in plain sight, and inform the law enforcement representative that you have a CHP. Matter of fact, I think it might even be written somewhere, that you shouldn't display the permit to them unless they ask you to.

Yeah. That's where I read it.
"2. When approached or addressed by any officer, you must disclose the fact that you have a valid concealed handgun permit and inform the officer that you are in possession of a concealed handgun. You should not attempt to draw or display either your weapon
or your permit for the officer unless and until he/she directs you to do so. Your hands
are to be kept in plain view and you are not to make any sudden movements."
