Visiting another jurisdiction tonight

I travel for work, so I get to take advantage of that at times by visiting lodges outside my home Grand Lodge of Texas.

Tonight I have the pleasure of visiting Mission Lodge #169 in San Francisco, CA.

I was informed there is some ritual work tonight so that makes it even more special than just another stated meeting.

Any of y'all visit other lodges in your home jurisdiction? Other states? Other countries? I have visited over 100 outside my home lodge and I will probably double that in the next 2-3 years.

I think visiting other lodges is one of the coolest things to do.

Especially as an officer. I love to see how different states do different things.

As well as the brotherhood that you see when you meet complete strangers.

All I can say is the Mission Lodge #169 in San Francisco is fantastic. Great people, great work. I highly recommend you visit them if ever in San Francisco and have Tuesday night available.

Though, I have never been disappointed with any lodge visit in my past!

Traveling Man

I do alot of traveling especially in the Inspection Season. I haven't gone to any lodges outside Ohio, but would like to. One of our PM'S just visited a lodge in Scottsdale AZ. i don't remember the number, but it had about 700 members. He REALLY enjoyed it, and said that he was treated like a king!!! Traveling and meeting new friends is one of the things I enjoy most about our most ancienet and honorable Fraternity.

Just last week I visited my cousin's lodge in Arkansas. It is in a small town, but the people were very friendly and the meal was amazing. If you happen to be in that area it is Charleston #155.

That night (4/1) they had their stated meeting and they presented by cousin a PM and PDDMG with his DDGM Jewel and his 50 year honors. It was my first visit to a lodge outside of Texas and was a great experience. I can't wait for my next opportunity.
