Joining the NG

I got out of the reserves Aug of 06 and decided to go back in. I am currently joining the NG but apparently there are a lot of whoops to jump through if you are E-6 or above. If it doesn't pan out soon I will go back to the Reserves.

Really? Never heard of that. In my career I went from Army NG to Army Reserve, back to Army NG, and ended up retiring from Air NG.

I guess Kansas is different. Because I am E-6 I am awaiting permission from the state Sergeant Major.

I will probably never see that guy but he has to say OK.

Good luck. None of my changes was when I lived in Kansas, but I was in the 184th Bomb Wing at McConnell when they still had the B-1s.
