I have forgotten... there is a way to exclude the viewing of last documents and files open... that appears at START - DOCUMENTS - MY Documents My Pictures just here below it always show what was open...

It is part of the properties of the start menu. Right click on start then pick prosperities. On Vista it is on the first page to come up. "Store and display a list of recently opened files" put a check mark in the box or clear it as needed.

After you right click the start menu and select properties, choose the Start Menu tab, click the customize button, then choose advanced. That brings up the "show recently opened files" option.
