Bay Area Dealers

Had a great time with a Californian friend.
I took her to the shooting range (I guess I got her hooked on shooting) and now she wants a 223 semi carbine and a Glock. She understands that my 'evil assault rifles' in Texas are a nono in Ca.

I figure a Mini 14 is pretty much all she could get in the Bay Area, am I right?

Here is my question. What dealer in the Bay Area is likely to have one in stock for a GOOD price?
What is typically a transfer fee if she bought online?

You can get "evil" rifles, just with certain features disabled. It's a real pain in the @$$ to understand, but you can get an AR, or AK with a fixed mag. Just gotta break it down and load the mag from the top.

You can also buy a SU-16 and a M1A. There are a few others, just look at the Cali DOJ site for the list and calguns.net is another good resource.

As for gun shops.. there was a thread before the site was revamped <sigh>. I have been going to Sportsmens Supply in Campbell (http://www.sportsmenssupply.com) at the suggestion of other members on here. So far they have proved to be a good shop. I believe another one is City Guns or something in Half Moon Bay. Another is Imbert and Smithers or something like that. They are in San Carlos, but their prices are high. Pretty good stock of reloading supplies though.

Ditto for the City Arms. I just met Vladimir last night and he's one of the nicest guys I've ever met. You should definitely send them as much business as possible.
