Canada Finally Apologizes

The Canadian Government (under the Conservative Government under Prime Minister Stephen Harper), finally apologized to the injustice done by the Residential School System on First Nations, Metis, and the Inuit.

Native children were taken away from their homes, and made to live in residential schools, where they suffered a lot of abuse.

Great first step, hopefully this will be the start of more reforms for cultural minorities...

I wish we could also implement this here in the Philippines, God knows that a lot of our own minorities have suffered similar injustices and abuse.

How I wish, too. Even the Aetas suffered injustices, too. They were humiliated, ejected from their lands, and left to fend for themselves.

Yes, the Aetas were hurt physically and emotionally, I see a lot of them around begging because they've been displaced.
