New Drahthaar in town

The new puppy recently arrived. For those that don't know, a Drahthaar is a German line, German Wired Hair Pointer. She is stubborn, has a mind of her own and is already doing 8-10 retrieves at only 9 weeks old.
Reba (her reg. name is Ellie) is full of herself and everything else.

She was to replace my older Drahthaar, Christa. But fortunately for us, Christa (who was diagnosed in Dec with tumors and given about 2 months to live) is doing well and is still enjoying a quality of life that is fine. Her medication has seemed to slow the problem. I don't know if she will make hunting season in Nov. but we sure are going to try for it.

Until then, we have a lot of work ahead of us getting Reba ready to find birds come this season.
