5.1 in Vista

I recently "up"graded my desktop system to Vista. I did a clean install so there are not hidden update issues.

My question is this: In XP I could adjust the levels of rear, center, side and sub channels independent of one another. I can't seem to find it in Vista.

I like this capability because of the way modern movies are mixed. I want to hear the dialog not the explosions and other effects.

I am really tired right now so I may be missing something obvious.

What sound card do you have and does it have an app specific for that? I would look there.

I found the controls. I was looking in the Volume Mixer, where it used to be. Now it's buried in the sound control panel.

That was one of the new "features" that Vista has to offer. They were trying to fix the age old issue of too many volume controls in too many apps.
