investing in stocks

The PSE just took a major hit and I was just thinking: is this a good time to buy or should I wait for 1st qtr? I was thinking of long term investment - mga 1-2 years. Some are saying this is the start palang and the real financial tsunami will hit early next year.

Thanks in advance for the advice

It is not time to get in the stock market. Too early. You might all the way to the bank.

as i read in few websites its better to invest in gold. if you have extra savings. its really hard to get into stocks right now hindi natin alam kung bottom price na o bababa pa pero if you think na sagad na pwede rin naman pero i think its too risky right now. they offer sa banks naman kung meron ka savings na hindi mo gagalawin like the government bonds ROP's. they still offer maturity 09 , 010 , upto 2015. kaya lang minimum ata is $10,000 usd. any bogs na may experience sa government bonds?

wouldn't wanna be buying stocks right now. that's for sure. better off buying precious metals. some you can hold on to.

1-2 years is not really considered long term po. that's actually short to mid. long term your talking 5 years and up.

buying bluechip stocks for long term is always the safest way but with the current situation, i wouldn't wanna risk it yet. perhaps by the end of november when theres been more time to determine the trend.

just my opinion.

actually, this would be the safest investment of the lot. d na kasi tumutubo pero dumadami ang tao. ahehehe. iy;s just that it's a really long term investment. let's say 10 years and up.

wag lang sana maconfiscate ng gobyerno ang lupa. a good example is to just look at what's happening to boracay....

ganun din naman yun
You just have to do your homework and find the real bargains

whats happening sa my beloved boracay?
Took a look last summer , puro station 3 inaalok na lots
50m from the beach , 20t++ per sqm pero katabi barong barong

Station 1 sana but I doubt maka kuha ng bargain dun
Plus , dumadami Koreans next door sa staion 2

pinagtatalunan ngaun ang lupa sa boracay in the supreme court. the government is declaring it belongs to them. kawawa mga hotel owners ngaun. i can see the need for this though. bora is now one massive commercial entity. d katulad ng dati where the beachfront is just full of coconut trees and monkeys running around harrassing the public (those were the days. dala ka ng sarili mong banig and sleep sa beach). they even cleared the forest in the middle of the hill to put up a new luxury hotel. tsk tsk tsk. they need to revert to eco-tourism before they destroy it for good.

properties on the other side of the island is cheaper and you get your own hideaway spot away from the staring public. still pretty close to the stations though. land prices start from 12k - 15k

Look for a stock that has dropped at least 75% in the last two to three days, buy as much as you can early tommorrow and sell it around 1-2 pm eastern time. Do this every day for a week or so and then send me a commission check next week. TRUTH!!!!!

Forgot to mention, this is not investing this is trading! if you do not have the money to buy enough stock to make it worth it then dont bother or the per trade fees of your chosen broker will eat you alive, I typically dont trade with less then 2,000 dollars, just me though.
