Ghost Rocket kit on my new 34!

Well, I just finished installing the Ghost Rocket trigger kit on my new 34. It took about three hours to get it where I wanted it. The kit also came with 2.) 1-Wolff 6.0 lb Trigger Spring
3.) 1-Wolff 4.0 lb Firing Pin Spring
4.) 1-Wolff reduced power firing pin safety spring

I can't believe how light the trigger is now, and how fast the reset is. I've fitted just the rocket to my 19, but the springs made 34 feel like a race gun. Hopefully I can make it to the range today to try it out.

I also recently switched from the tactical 5.0 Ghost to the 3.5 Rocket. I am very impressed. I stayed with the factory springs in mine. The trigger has a smooth easy break, not mushy like other 3.5 's I have tried in the past. Much better reset as well.

Well, I finally shot it. It runs like a sewing machine. No issues, just a smooth crisp trigger and a short reset.I will put it through its paces today at a local USPSA match.

The Lone Wolf, Scheerer, and Ghost are the best 3.5 connectors out there last time I checked.

I found the LoneWolf to be the best value, but if you are good at setting Ghost Rockets, good on ya Man!

Enjoy...

I was thinking of installing the 5.0 Tac in my 34. Why did you go to the 3.5 Rocket?

Personal preference, I have used the 5.0 for a few years have been happy with it. I just thought I would try out the 3.5 to see if it was any different/better than the 5.0. Most of the 3.5 I tried in the past had a mushy feel to them. The Ghost 3.5 does not. I got a good deal on it so I figured i'd give it a shot. It fells exactly like the 5.0 but quite a bit lighter. I would say it fells alot like a well broken in Stock connector with zero overtravel.

I run a 5.0 Tactical in my PD/HD/EDC Glock, and am very happy with it. Took my dad and brother shooting with it yesterday, and they both loved it.

What are your opinions on the ghost rocket trigger kits for everyday carry?

I wouldn't carry with it. I use a Glock "-" connector.

All personal opinion. The complete kits and just the connectors is 2 different things. I have been using the connectors in my Glocks for a long time now with no issue. Some people say no I don't see why, the only difference in running a Ghost Rocket VS a Glock (-) connector is the built in over travel stop.

Lord forbid I ever get into a defensive shooting, I do not want any more ammo for
a DA to use against me. The Glock "-" connector is a Glock part that comes from
the factory on a few weapons. The Ghost Rocket is a fitted, non Glock part.

The positives are just not worth the negatives for me.

I carry my G19 with the Ghost Rocket, 6 lb trigger spring, standard safety spring, and extra power firing pin spring. The setup works for me. It feels just a little lighter than stock, but I don't have any actual measurements.

My G17 that I shoot USPSA matches with is setup like the OPs.

Carry what you like with whatever trigger you'd like just do it safely.

Some people get all bent out of shape that the part is not factory, that it's lighter than stock, blah blah blah. If you end up shooting someone, you're gonna have a lot more to worry about than your trigger connector.

A lot of people who bash the non Glock aftermarket connectors for liability reason also have and carry 1911's with lighter triggers than the Ghost rocket gives you so I don't see where their foundation lies for the argument of having an aftermarket part, lol.

Get what you want just be safe with it.

+1

I did recently switch back to the stock connector on the 19 but kept the 6lb trigger spring. Overtravel has never been an issue for me and I like the crisper break of the heavier connector. On my recently aquired 17 I used the Ultimate 3.5 kit minus the reduced power striker spring. I did my own trigger job, which I must have lucked out on. I managed to get a really crisp break for a Glock (not a 1911) at a 3.6lb average measured in different spots on the trigger. Ran 200rds today at the range and the trigger was very smooth, short and utterly reliable. I also stopped cleaning the receiver and firing pin saftey. My carry gun stays squeaky clean, but that carbon sludge actually makes my range gun run smoother than the best polish job

<chuckles> It's a G34...I don't think Carry is formost in his plans, gang.

I ahve the same setup; I went back to factory springs and gave up some trigger tonnage for reliable strikes (the lighter spring will begin to light strike on ya in 1000 rounds or so)

Good call, and it IS an impressive trigger set up.

It's not an argument,...it's an opinion.

Glock factory production parts are just that. They are not aftermarket.
I'm not bashing the product, just answering the question. If it works for you,
Great, I'm happy for you too!
