got a military belt that has the holes for the 1911 holster hook ups....but i cant figure out what those two sliding metal bands are for....


anyone got pix of a GI type WWII style holster and belt combo and how this stuff goes together?

i got the hooks in the belt holes o.k. i guess, they go on the bottom set of holes right?

the bands slide around, arent they supposed to stay in place once you size the belt?

i got this as my "woods" set up along with a double mag pouch that was a bear to get on the belt because of the extra room need for the buckle...had to squeeze it in at an angle and work it back and forth...went on o.k. but i wont be taking it off anytime soon.

Those are for your knife. Slide the blade under the loops and position them where you want.






Seriously, they go one to an end. They keep the loop flat where the "end buckles" are. If you're having that much trouble with the set up you're doing something wrong.

i have it set up with my 1911 holster and mag pouch, just never did it before, never seen it set up before...and didnt know if i did it correctly.
