Iowa Glockers?

Any Iowa Glockers out there? I'd like to find out more about GSSF matches in/around Iowa. I have been to the GSSF site. Minneapolis is about the closest match I have seen on any schedule I have found. Anyone know of any other matches nearby?

What part of IA? There are some "Rock your Glock" matches held in Lincoln, NE usually starting in the spring and running to fall. They are not GSSF matches but set up pretty similar and are fun to compete in.

Will it ever be warm enough again in Iowa to enjoy the outdoor shooting sports?

I'm not sure it will ever warm up ! ...right now I am trying to find the right club to join near Cedar Rapids that has a nice indoor range until the weather comes around.....but the Rock Your Glock matches sound like something I might like. Is there a schedule or website for this group at all?

Keep an eye on the GSSF online calendar. Rumor has it that there will be a GSSF match in Grand Island Nebraska in 2009.

Iowa Blocker reporting in....

I haven't purchased my Block yet but I will be shortly...

the plan right now is to purchase the G22 RTF and throw on TruGlo TFO's and possibly the new Crimson Trace LG-417

new Glock

I recently purchased my first Glock, A 17L. @ weeks later I got a 17. They are addictive. I stayed with 9mm since I was already set up to reload and had all the components. Otherwise I'd have gone with the 40.

gunshow

Yep that was me. When I was shooting IPSC, I either shot my 1911 single stacks or the Para that Matt Gish at Pro gun built for me.
Been thinking about a Glock for a long time and finally decide to get one. Then another.

iowa glockers

Seems like it from what I've seen.
Went out to the Ikes this morning and put a few rounds through it. I go out at least once a week or more. Kind of nice that it was warm for a change. Didn't need any hand warmers in my pockets

It is a beautiful day, to bad I'm stuck inside all day. From what I hear, the gun shop I'm buying my Glock from has 50 on order and has no idea when he'll get one of the RTF's in, so right now I'm just stuck twiddling my thumbs.

glocks

It looked like there was quite a few glocks out at the gun show. And the prices weren't that bad either. The Ar's were about 300-400$ highr than 4or5 months ago though.

Yeah, I'd love to get an AR-10 with a .308 and .22-250 barrel but its not in the budget this year and probably never will be but a boy can dream can't he? I'm was looking at glocks too, I really like the grip of the RTF but by the end of this month I should be able to get a good deal on one if CVO has some.

Gifters, come on up to the Waterloo Gun show. I know 3 dealers loaded to the gills with GLOCKs, including the RTF.

And why aren't you guys shooting USPSA and IDPA with us???

Where and when do you shoot USPSA/IDPA? I really need to have some fun. I might be trying to start a project of my own here sometime this year, but we'll see about that.

We shoot USPSA on the second Sunday of the month and IDPA on the 4th Sunday. The next couple of months we'll have a match every weekend, due to Feb/March being flooded out. Gotta make 'em up! <g>

Sorry for the late post Gifty.....No Ernie sold his last blue label on Friday.....To ME Ive been on the list for a while though. This was the first shipment of blue labels he has had in this year. He does have several glocks in stock, just no blue labels. Give him a call and put your name on the list
