Recomendations Needed Prior To Rr-formatting XP

Hi Guys,

I need your help. What do you recommend for wiping the computer "CLEAN" prior to re-formatting the hard drive with Windows XP Home Edition.

Thanking you all in advance for your help & sage advise.

Fraternally yours

Jimmy Ward

PS: Someone mentioned DBAN for this task.

Well, if you're doing it just to reinstall Windows, you'll have the option of deleting and then re-creating the partition on which Windows will be installed. If you're trying to do it to securely delete some data before reinstalling Windows, yes Darik's Boot and Nuke is a good first step.

Boot n Nuke works fine if you really want erase the data otherwise a format or erase partitions is fine for the most part if you're keeping the computer.
