5 Screw, you need to take that CQB out of the $1500-$2000 bracket. I just bought one at dealer cost, and it was more than that!!

Just came across this great thread after searching for a couple of days.
It would help if it was a sticky, I think.

bac- I have been saving my money waiting for your post. I'm getting anxious to buy more. Don't wait until your Pistol Dynamics arrives because then you will spend too much time fondling it and will never get the post done. Maybe just post a quickie recap or an outline to fill-in later?

I have about $3,000 to spend and I don't know if I should buy one gun at that price or two guns for that total. I own a SA TRP Oper 1/2 rail and a Colt New Agent - love them both. I sold a Wilson CQB Compact SS because it kept going back with problems. Not sour on Wilson, just that gun. Open to suggestions.

I've looked at Brown but can't find a Baer to fondle. I'm also really curious about a DW Valor but have never seen one. I need a report like bac, and others, were discussing to gather some info.

the DW's are a very well put together for a production gun. was at a shop today fondling a PM-9 again. for the $ and not stepping into a semi-custom, the DW's are nice.

One is three times the price of the other, and its more than just cosmetics.
I have 2 Kimbers both are excellant carry guns, one is a 4in pro cdp 11, the other is a 3 in stainless ultra carry, very comfy, both are tackdrivers, the most accurate guns i have ever owned especially thr 4 in, mild recoil, on both. I still carry a glock 357sig a lot, cause i like the round, but for everyday carry the 2 aluminum frame Kimbers are hard to beat....

I've been saying that for a month or two. I started some drafts, but having continued.

I'll do it once I have my next two 1911s that I have on order. It should be this spring.
Well, I posted this a year and a half ago and still haven't done it. I'll get it done this year.

I actually rescued my 1911 buyer's guide thread from my old computer. I'm going to start working on it again.

Its going to be a mammoth thread, at about 25-30 pages. Of course, its a real PITA to do, but it should be worth it if we can make it a sticky and use it to answer questions.

Other's input will also be welcome. I'll post the thread, but it certainly won't be all about me or my opinions.
