Its going to be a mammoth thread, at about 25-30 pages. Of course, its a real PITA to do, but it should be worth it if we can make it a sticky and use it to answer questions.

Other's input will also be welcome. I'll post the thread, but it certainly won't be all about me or my opinions.
Why don't you just make it a PDF?

that'll be great for us iPhone users, since we can save the PDF in iBook and can use it as a reference.

Yup. Bac could just upload the PDF to Google.docs, and post the link to it here.

I have a bunch of our gun club's documents stored and accessed that way.

Brian, give me a call at home.

While Quack has converted me to 1911 member, I've converted him to a Mac user. So he already has drank the koolaid and ate the cookie.

I can print a Word document to a PDF, but I have Acrobat Pro.

If you need me to convert it let me know. No problem.

Still waiting. I'm so jealous, Bac hasn't made me get my first 1911 yet...so I'll continue to wait.

Thanks

However, it won't be just mine.

I'm hoping a few of my 1911 buddies here will add to it.

I feel like the guide is something I'm going to reference frequently, especially during the hunt for my first 1911 (which is happening now).

Is it going to have a cool name? Something epic, like COTEFT epic?
