You think so? NO WAY!
We have fwd and aft loading complexes, a visor that opens, 2 pressure doors that have to move, a aft center door and 2 aft side doors, then all the ramps, plus our kneeling system. Thats right, our plane squats on its own. We have power castered rear gears too. All of that and we arnt even including the 3 different backup systems our plane has.

U mean Fat Albert, but I guess the new C-117 gives the C-5A Run for it's money. They invested all that money to upgrade the C-141 bu stretching it befor and aft of the wings and giving it an in-flight refueling system then put it in the bone yard. Seems like a waste of money.........

Nah not really, the c-5 can carry 3 times the payload and now that the new c-5M's are delivering next month, we can now travel farther, faster, and on shorter runways then before.

I liked the C-17 but there just something about having an acft that size and NO STEERING WHEEL. I want a set of antlers to drive with.
As my Posse would say. The C-5, The Fans of Freedom

It does not really make a difference what we like or dislike about the various aircraft the USAF uses, were all brothers and took the same oath of enlistment and it was for the good of our country that we served her doing what we could to keep them flying so they could do the job they were intended for.
