A shooting buddy has a Jennings pocket size .22 and I've always thought it was a neat gun. Quality is not really that great, but with good ammo it will do the job. What I am looking for is something similar, but with better quality, but I don't know who else makes something like that. I thought about a Ruger LCP, but don't want the .380 for this particular gun (may get an LCP anyway though). Thanks in advance for any info or assistance!
I don't know about any good small .22 lr auto's but for a small .22 look at NAA's mini revolvers. Small and would get the job done. They also come in .22 mag.
Also look at their auto in .32 acp, its very small and packs more punch than a .22

I knew I was forgetting something when I posted... I had a mini before and just couldn't fall completely in love with it. They are great guns, it just didn't work out. I also prefer a semi-auto. Thanks for the info/tips so far!

If its really a auto your after, take a good hard look at the Firestorm .22 Auto Pistol. They aren't tiny, but they are small enough to conceal easy.
Here is a review on gunblast.com of one. http://www.gunblast.com/Firestorm.htm

Phoenix Arms gets my vote for a pocket .22 auto.
The Beretta is okay, but it has no extractor, mine won't extract reliably after about 20 rounds. You have to keep it clean all the time. The Phoenix Arms, just kept going even after a couple hundred rounds.
Another vote for the Bersa Firestorm 22. I guess it's a little bigger than the tiny little pocket pistols, but they're a good size for CC.

My wife has a AMT .22 her father bought her. However, there is only ONE .22 ammo it will shoot reliably and that is one type of Winchester brand. I would have to go look to see which one.
Anyway, once we found the brand it liked, it has never jammed once and my wife is deadly accurate with it.
Berreta makes a very nice pocket .22 also.
But keep in mind, many .22's are ammo sensitive so try several types of ammo and find the one the feeds well and stick with that brand.
The Berettas previously mentioned work very well. I've seen used prices all over the chart.
If you can find one an Iver Johnson TP-22 is usually a lot cheaper. They're a DA/SA type. Quality is very good. This is the 2nd one I've owned. I gave $75 for the first one and $100 for the second. I probably could have bought the second one cheaper but I knew the guy who had it and he was needing the cash so I gave him flat out what he was asking. The first one had over 5000 rds thru it, had never been cleaned, and never bobbled with anything I put thru it. I bought the 2nd one used and then sold the first one to a buddy who had been hounding me to sell it to him. I've only run about 3000 rds thru the 2nd one, have actually clean it a few times and it's been 100% reliable.
If you want to pay a few dollars more and can find one there's always the Colt Jr. They're SA and can be had in either .25 ACP or .22 Short. This one is .22 Short. I've seen prices on these for as much as $400. I paid $25 for this one in 1969.

I have an Iver Johnson TP22 too, and it's a keeper!

I have one of the mini revolvers in .22 Mag, and it's a great little piece. No sights to speak of (just a front half moon), but once you get used to it, it's easy to shoot and suprisingly accurate.
